There's a frost predicted tonight but the temperature will be so close, that it will probably miss us again. We are kind of in a little microclimate at the top of a hill with shrubs bordering us on 2 sides and the buildings on the other side. It has to get to about 29 and stay there for it to generally do any damage. Looking at the weather on my phone, the hourly keeps showing 34 as the coldest between 4 and 7 a.m. Just to be safe, I pulled some of the green tomatoes and picked another 2 bushels of Kentucky Wonder beans today. It's hard to know what to do when it's such a close call. If you pick everything and it doesn't frost, then you've lost growing time and if you don't and it does, then you've lost everything.
A sad report yesterday from 3 Rivers Farm, Amy has been diagnosed with COVID. Segue says so far, he and the kids are fine. They will of course be out of the Market for awhile. We will have a donation jar for them at the Market on Saturday if you wish to help out, drop by.
Of course our prayers and hopes are with them. They are such a vital part of the Market and are
also more to us, of course.
We will see you at a cooler market on Saturday. There's even some rain in the forecast for Sunday.
God's Blessings on you and yours,
TTFN,
Sam and Bill
