Variety - The Spice of Life

We were going to take the week off from market this week. The recent heat waves however have changed our minds. The many varieties of tomatoes are finally coming in at a rate that is a bit overwhelming if not... mmm, mmm satisfying.

\
This week at the market, along with the Violet Jasper we have been bringing, We will have Purple Carbon, Pork Chops, Blue Beauty, Black from Tula, Paul Robeson, Black Plum, Lemon Boys, Mortgage Lifter, Pink Girl, Black Krim, Japanese Black Pear and Cour Di Bue and probably a few others that I have  forgotten.
Also, some Lamb, Tomatillos and SUNFLOWERS, SUNFLOWERS, SUNFLOWERS.

I made a bunch of pickles this week. Salty Refrigerator Dills and Surprise Bread and Butter made with Robins Local honey. Below are some Blue Beauty Tomatoes. These are a new variety, They are not Heirloom but an Open Pollinated variety offered by Baker Creek Seeds from the Wild Boar Farms collection.

This week, I found this mushroom on my property. The Missouri Mycological Society thought it very interesting.

We think that it is a Wild Cauliflower Mushroom. Cool no?

See You Saturday, Lots of Lemonade for Lots of Sun.

God's Blessings on you and yours.
