After the Market

I have the best vet in the world. I say this all the time. Dr. James Hale of Animal Care Clinic in Washington, Mo. I think the emphasis in his case should be on the CARE. Doc, as most people call him has slogged through mud for me and transported a sick pregnant ewe to my friend Michel's barn when I have been out of town and couldn't get it to him. He has talked me through retained placentas and choking rams, a sick llama, let me sit w/my dogs when it has been time to let them go humanely, came and trimmed hooves when my back couldn't take it and my husband was in Stupid, TX, boarded my dogs when I was in the hospital(for free) and chased down a rare disease that my cat had so I didn't have to take it to a Specialist in Columbia. All of this for less than my last vet paid for his cowboy boots. Everyone who knows Dr. Hale has a story to tell, a sick dog that was taken home by Doc over Thanksgiving because it was too chancy to leave it at the office alone, kittens rescued, or working w/those who rescue, spay and neuter. Last week I was at Animal Care Clinic and I mentioned to him that I needed a new ram but didn't know how I was going to get it w/Bill being in Stupid, TX. Next thing I know he is calling me to tell me that he found a ram and he will get his trailer and bring it to me. He just dropped off the ram after dragging it to the barn and left w/his usual drawl and smile. He and his wife Heather are truly blessings that I count on a regular basis.
But while I'm on the subject ...but off the record, Dr Hale doesn't treat sheep. That's what he always says anyway... until it's time.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Market at Tower Grove yesterday. It was a great success. Many thanks to Chipotle Mexican Grill for the 5000.00 token give away. It was a great help. We'll see you all next week.

God's Blessings to You and Yours,

TTFN
